Who We Are
We are an established, minority woman-owned, medical massage and wellness studio located in Kensington, Maryland. As firm believers in self care, we grew tired of cookie-cutter services that lacked quality & effectiveness. In an effort to fill this void, Tailored Relaxation was born in 2015.
Our Facility
Our intimate studio boosts relaxing aromatic scents, in a dim setting with soothing music & sounds playing in the background. Our two treatment rooms are equipped with massage beds that have extra padding, memory foam head rests and adjustable heat settings to assure your comfort. Complimentary light refreshments are available for your enjoyment.

MONICA, LMT
17+ years of experience…
Monica brings a unique, tailored approach to healing and relaxation. Monica first begain her massage journey at the tender age of 19. Now, as a graduate of Columbia College in Massage Therapy, with an emphasis on Neuromuscular studies, she has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to how muscles and nerves work together to produce movement. She currently specializes in helping clients experiencing Sciatica to find relief and develop healthy habits for reducing pain and discomfort. Monica’s background in Nursing studies has helped her to be aware of others needs as well as the importance of having excellent bedside manner. In addition to massage, Monica is also certified in Acupressure and Reiki — intuitive healing through light touch. Once a Professor of Massage Theory at Columbia College, Monica helped to educate and train massage students working towards their licensure.
TINA, RMP
8+ years of experience…
Having the deeply rooted belief, ‘always treat others how you want to be treated,’ is Tina’s approach to every session. After working many years as a Dental Assistant, she decided she wanted to expand her skill set and chose to go to massage school. As a graduate of NMTI, Tina is equipped with a broad knowledge of the muscular system. Her experience in dental assisting paired with her studies in massage therapy has helped to ensure that each session is delivered with professionalism and excellent table side manner. Tina truly enjoys working with her hands and is enthusiastic about providing effective service.
ERIKA, LMT

As a visually impaired therapist who welcomes diverse clients, Erika brings understanding and compassion to her work. She takes great pride in providing excellent massages tailored to your specific needs. You’ll find her to be respectful, friendly and thoughtful. As a graduate of Potomac Massage Training Institute, she specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal Massage, and Craniosacral Therapy.
REGGIE, RMP
7+ years of experience…
Following an ancient path of assisted healing from stress and pain through music & massage therapy… At the tender age of 14, Reggie began massaging the calves of a family elder in her waning years. He has continued to help others through massage and other holistic modalities for most of his life. Dually licensed in both Maryland and the District of Columbia, Reggie takes great care to make sure each session is tailored to our guests needs.

Judy, RMP
7+ years of experience…
Having completed many hours of study at NMTI, Judy graduated well equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the muscular system. While living in Hawaii, Judy became interested in Lomi Lomi and Thai Massage. She eagerly took on the additional training to become proficient in both modalities, making her a well rounded therapist with a broad scope of tools to deliever effective massages, and bodywork. Additionally, Judy has completed training in stretch therapy.
Upholding a “relaxation spirit” makes her highly adaptable to the evolving
health and wellness needs of guests.

As a certified reflexologist, Aimee strongly believes that the art of touch can bring palpable wellness and positive boosting to everyone’s life and health! Reflexology is an integral part of that, and Aimee has witnessed it time and time again with her many years of experience in a broad range of western, eastern and multi-cultural reflexology techniques and methods, both here in the United States and overseas.
VICKIE, FACIALIST & WAXOLOGIST
13+ years of experience…
Vickie has spent many years as a cosmetologist , providing nail and skin care services. Her attention to detail allows her to deliver a product that her clients love! While she enjoys doing nails, her true passion is skincare. Her passion has lead her to continue her studies in skincare. With enthusiasm, Vickie truly believes in providing facials that are not only effective, but that deliver visible results. In addition to providing facials, she is also an excellent waxologist… kiss unwanted hair goodbye!
